What is being announced in Joseph's reunion with his brothers is that the PAST, with its troubles, IS OVER. GRACE has TRIUMPHED over evil. The past is not forgotten, but the evil and sinful actions of the past will NO LONGER CONTROL the future. God's GRACIOUS PROVIDENCE will allow Joseph's family (and us) to LIVE in a new found FREEDOM. "We can be CONFIDENT that God REIGNS and that evil is FIRMLY UNDER God's control. TRUST in God's Providence SETS US FREE from all undue anxiety and care." (Daniel Migliore)
