To be "devoted to the LORD" refers to the IRREVOCABLE GIVING OVER of things or persons to the Lord, often by totally destroying them... Maybe when someone is "devoted to the LORD", even through destruction, it really means they BELONG to the Lord. How the Lord determines their eternal fate is His choice. God is SOVEREIGN in matters of mercy and grace. We should hear a WORD of GRACE, even in the pronouncement of total destruction.
